About Becky Russell, Graig Machendrie, and Tammy Langeberg
Becky Russell is an Instructional Specialist/School Library Consultant at the Colorado Department of Education. Previously, she has taught K-12 students for 24 years in Missouri, Texas, and Colorado. She earned National Board Recognition in addition to an MLIS and Bachelors in Education. Her educational passions include promising practice of instruction, backwards planning/goal setting, leadership, instructional coaching skills, collaboration, a culture of inclusivity, and empowering learners to thrive.
Tammy Langeberg is a thirty year veteran of education with 12 years as a classroom teacher and 18 years as a teacher librarian. Tammy earned her Master’s Degree in Information and Learning Technologies and National Boards in Libraries. She has participated in the Highly Effective Schools Through Libraries since its near inception as Colorado Power Libraries. Tammy is now retired from her teacher librarian job and is the Highly Effective School Through Libraries coordinator. She supports highly effective librarians helping them achieve the five exemplars.
